Caitlin Clark has managed to keep just about everyone on her side during her rise in basketball stardom (aside from some jealous WNBA players, of course) but her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, isn't afraid to take a stand.

The boyfriend of the Indiana Fever star point guard is going viral on social media, for showing a clear political preference, ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

McCaffery, who played college hoops at Iowa, made it clear that he's supporting the Democrats ahead of the 2024 presidential election. He showed love to the Obamas, who were speaking at the DNC in Chicago, on Wednesday night.

The former Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball player, who now works for the Indiana Pacers, took to his Instagram Story, to share a screenshot from their speech. He posted a "heart" emoji.

As with anything politics-related, some are loving McCaffery's post, while others are criticizing him.

"Connor McCaffery, how foolish and stupid to do this to Caitlin Clark's universal reputation. Did the Obamas pay you for your endorsement to connect them to CC, through you? BAD idea," one fan wrote.

"In the past, McCaffery has posted support of Harris on his Instagram story, similar to the post about Obama on Tuesday night. Either way, it's probably smart of Clark to stay out of it, regardless of what she believes," one media outlet added.

Of course, most seem to agree that it's something McCaffery has every right to do.

"He's got a right to his opinion just like we do. I've got to defend him here. He has every right," one fan added.

Clark and the Fever are coming off a big blowout win over the Seattle Storm on Sunday. Clark scored 23 points in the 92-75 win, which pushed the Fever to 13-15 on the season.

They are currently the No. 7 seed in the WNBA Playoff picture.
