MERRILL, Wis. (WSAW) - The Merrill Area United Way will host the third annual "Concert For A Cause" on Tuesday, August 13.

Concert for a Cause is a fund-raiser organized by MAUW. All profits from the 2024 concert are designated for the "Disaster Relief Fund" established by MAUW following the tornado of 2011. This fund exists to help families impacted by disasters, like fire, flood, or tornado.

Leslie Blasing, a singer/performer from South Padre Island, Texas, will be returning to Merrill to perform at the event held at VFW Post 1638 located at 601 Johnson St. in Merrill.

The fun begins at 5 p.m. with Leslie Blasing performing from 6 - 8 p.m. Tickets will be $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Blasing has been entertaining for over 30 years. She was named "best entertainer" in Texas multiple times and has been the opener for several renowned country stars.

Included in the ticket price are an appetizer buffet, entertainment, and dancing. There will be a cash bar, raffle prizes, and 50/50 raffles.
