Conor McGregor loved up with Dee Devlin amid Presidential bid

Conor McGregor is showing a loved-up front with his long-term partner Dee Devlin as he seeks public support to become the next President of Ireland.

The Presidential election is set to take place in the coming weeks as Michael D Higgins retires from the post after serving the maximum of two terms (14 years).

To date, Independent Catherine Connolly has been confirmed as a candidate, while Fine Gael are putting Heather Humphreys forward, and Jim Gavin is the Fianna Fáil nominee.

MMA fighter Conor has claimed to have his nomination secured, last month writing on X that he has 'the most prestigious party of them all' backing him, though no one has publicly confirmed they are backing the Dubliner.

This comes despite a realm of TDs, Senators and councillors previously confirming they wouldn't nominate the disgraced UFC fighter.

In order to get your name on the ballot, a candidate must receive the support of 20 members of the Oireachtas or four local councils.

Amid the furore, the father-of-four took to social media to share a loved-up clip alongside fiancée Dee Devlin, as he wrote 'with all my heart and soul @deedevlin1.'

The clip sees the pair on a boat, with Conor turning to his other half for a kiss before saying something that cannot be heard.

The long-term couple have been engaged since 2020 and share four children -- Conor Jr, Croía, Rían and Mack.

Earlier in the month, Conor shared a video from outside Government Buildings as he appealed to local councillors to nominate him for the Presidential Election.

In the two-minute video, McGregor spoke about the current government, homelessness and the 'influx of mass migration.'

He said: 'Good morning, citizens of Ireland. I'm here today outside the office of the Taoiseach and Tanaiste, where we are over 200 days into the formation of the current government.

'In these times, the government has cost us our peace of mind, our security, our hope for the future and the general wellbeing of Irish citizens nationwide has decreased dramatically, whereby we have seen the homelessness of Irish children risen to levels unprecedented, proving this government's refusal to abide by and respect our proclamation where all children of Ireland are to be cherished.

'Instead, our children are abandoned. This incompetent failure of future generations has been accompanied by an intense influx of mass migration into an already severed system.

'Our tourism has sharply declined, while danger on our streets has risen.'
