Lucknow: Cultural programmes, devotionals songs and recitations of episodes from the Ramayana will mark statewide celebrations of Valmiki Jayanti on Oct 7.State govt has invited local artists, spiritual leaders and artists registered with the cultural department at the Valmiki meditation site in Chitrakoot.Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued directives to administration to invite local representatives and community members to participate in the celebrations.The programmes will be organised in district headquarters, tehsils and village panchayats. In Chitrakoot, the programme will begin at 11am. Spiritual and cultural programmes will be organised to promote local artists and talent.
