Ghana international Salis Abdul Samed says he was a bit shocked by his move to OGC Nice during the summer transfer window.
The Black Stars midfielder reunited with former RC Lens manager Franck Haise at Nice, signing a three-year deal with the club.
Before joining Nice in the summer, the former Clermont Foot midfielder had spent the previous season on loan at Sunderland after falling down the pecking at Lens.
Despite his modest performance at Sunderland last term, Franck Haise ensured he capture the services of the Black Stars midfielder.
And according to Salis, he was shocked by his move to Nice, having struggled for minutes last season.
"I was a bit shocked because last year, I didn't really play. He sent me a message on WhatsApp. I was like, âIs it really Haise?' I responded straight away, and I didn't even hesitate. We spoke, and he spoke about the project. He said that I was the player that he was looking for," he said as quoted by Getfootballnews.
Since joining Nice, the Black Stars midfielder has made three appearances in the French Ligue 1.
