Whether it's tuning into your favourite tunes, catching up on a beloved podcast or delving into a new audiobook, the joy of uninterrupted listening is a must for many. Now, to celebrate Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale on October 7-8 October, new Prime members can secure a four-month Amazon Music Unlimited subscription for 99p per month.
Typically, Amazon Music would set you back £10.99 per month, but new Prime members have until October 9 to bag this reduced rate. There's also good news for non-Prime members as they can nab the subscription for 99p for three months.
Once the promotional period ends, the price will revert to the usual £10.99 for Prime members and £11.99 for non-Prime members. Amazon Music Unlimited offers everything a listener could desire in one place, boasting 100 million songs in HD and millions more in Ultra HD and Spatial Audio, providing the highest-quality streaming audio that lets listeners experience music as the artist intended.
There's also access to popular podcasts such as The Rest Is Politics, The Diary Of A CEO and Staying Relevant, all without any pesky ads. Audiobooks are also growing in popularity, and with this subscription, users can enjoy one free audiobook from Audible each month.
For many, adverts are a massive nuisance, but with Amazon Music Unlimited, all tracks are ad-free and songs or playlists can be downloaded beforehand so customers can play their music offline. The platform can also create personalised recommendations based on listeners' habits which can then be enjoyed on phones, tablets, laptops, Fire TV or Amazon Echo, reports the Daily Record.
There are other well-known music subscription platforms available, such as Spotify which costs £11.99 for Premium options and provides ad-free music, download features to listen offline, 'high audio quality' and the ability to listen alongside mates at the same time. Meanwhile, Apple Music costs £10.99 per month and boasts more than 100 million songs and 30,000 playlists, with advert-free music and the ability to see what friends are listening to.
Amazon Music Unlimited users have shared their views of the platform on Trustpilot, with one saying: "It's brilliant at finding perfect song choices for me and I prefer it to other music apps. No issues at all and I love the music recommendations for me too."
Another said: "It's a good music service. I only use individual options and enjoy it as I use it if I go on walks and to town. No issues."
However, some users had contrasting views, with one person saying: "While picking music, it's quite annoying why the album cover and options come up every time you change music, it would be much better if this didn't happen."
Another said: "A little tad expensive, however a very reliable service with a great line up of music and podcasts."
Conversely, a satisfied customer said: "Never had a problem with Amazon Music. I use the app on my phone and pay monthly and they have a big selection to pick from and you can download to listen offline."
