Grasso's Garage: 2025 Lincoln Aviator shows off American Luxury

In 2025, Lincoln has done a lot of things right. We notice some great upgrades across the fleet including the Navigator, Aviator and Nautilus all making great headway in the upscale luxury market. Historically, Lincoln has done some significant improvements over sister-like Ford models to make their expansion in the market showing a bigger splash than others and the 2025 Lincoln Aviator is no different.

Our week-long tester, the 2025 Lincoln Aviator Reserve AWD wrapped in Infinite Black Metallic was a showpiece. Flexing on a 119-inch wheelbase, the 7-passenger Aviator has a fantastic curb appeal. Riding on 22-inch aluminum wheels, the Reserve II package also included a Luxury package and nicely apportioned Illumination package which totaled just under $8K. Inside the Aviator, it's all luxury and comfort. A 13.2-inch LCD center stack touchscreen is present while a separate 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster is present for the driver. Push button, Piano-style transmission is still present and proves Lincoln's long-history of classic elegance is here to stay. We also noticed BlueCruise, Lincoln's autonomous driving experience, which really did a good job and was on a level playing field with GM and Cadillac's similar version. It was steady and not annoying like other brands.

As the Aviator offers 3 model options, Premier, Reserve and Black Label, our Reserve tester came in 6 exterior color options and 4 interior color options with our tester coming with Light Space Grey. Powering the Aviator was a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. Pairing this with the familiar 10-speed automatic transmission, we admire this great powertrain combination as it really hits the pavement well.

Lincoln is no secret to the upscale luxury market. Their luxury line of upscale SUVs have always been plush, comfortable, appealing and user friendly for all consumers. While the upscale luxury market is over-populated with options, Lincoln does a good job of standing up to its competition and delivering nicely to the end user.
