The Rotary Club of Marion's 2025 local small grants program for this spring is now accepting applications.
The Rotary Club of Marion Foundation has funds for a small grant program for McDowell County nonprofits and service organizations. The grants must be for projects that further the work of the nonprofit or service organization in McDowell County, according to a news release from the Rotary Club.
Requests must be for at least $500 but cannot be more than $1,500.
The deadline for grant submission is Friday, May 9, at 3 p.m. Projects must be completed by Dec. 19, 2025, according to the news release.

Grants do not cover capital requests, staff training, salaries, annual fundraising campaigns, sponsorship or general operating expenses, the release said. The Rotary Club does not accept grant applications from schools.
After reviewing all grant requests, Rotary Club will notify the applicant whether the request has been approved, denied or partially funded.
Rotary expects the funds would be available by June 2025, the release said.
