Apple has bumped up the official trade-in values of all its iPad models, with some models getting an increase of up to $35.
The iPad Pro got the highest bump to its trade-in value of any model, rising $35 from $520 to $555.
However, the increases for some of Apple's less expensive models aren't exactly life-changing. An iPad Air will now fetch you $275, an increase of just $5 from $270. A standard iPad will get you up to $190, an increase of $5 from $185. Meanwhile, an iPad mini will now get $215, up from $210
These prices are all just guidelines; bumps, bruises, and blemishes can all reduce the potential value of your iPad when it comes to official returns.
If you are using an older model and you are not quite sure how much credit you could get, there is an easy way to check. You can head to Apple's official trade-in portal and enter your serial number, which is engraved on the back of your iPad. ANd if you aren't happy with the price you could get for your iPad, you can always avoid Apple's official services and try to get more on the private resale market.
Apple has never offered cash for users to trade in their devices, instead, you will get credit that can be used exclusively in Apple Stores. But these store credits can still make a big difference. As of September 2024, Apple offers between $180 and $650 if you switch your iPhone 12 or higher for a new iPhone 16.
According to current values, an iPhone 12 can get you $180, an iPhone 13 will get you $250, and an iPhone 14 will trade in for $400.
