On Monday, 4 November, the US State Department's Inspector General, Cardell Richardson, arrived in Kyiv, according to US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, who shared the news on social media. Richardson is responsible for overseeing the transparency and accountability of US aid to Ukraine.

In September last year, the Pentagon deployed inspectors to Kyiv to monitor US military assistance to Ukraine, and a similar American inspection mission was conducted in Ukraine earlier this year. The visits mark another step in ensuring public support for Ukraine's defense as it moves closer to EU and NATO integration.

"Glad to welcome the US State Department's Inspector General Richardson to Ukraine," Brink wrote on X.

Earlier, the US Agency for International Development said the US did not identify any serious violations regarding the aid provided to Ukraine, RBC reported.

Additionally, in November 2023, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reported that experts from the European Peace Facility's monitoring mission conducted an inventory of weapons supplied to Ukraine's Defense Forces by EU countries.

In March 2024, the US Government Accountability Office presented recommendations to the Department of Defense on ensuring the tracking and proper use of US-made equipment supplied to Ukraine as part of defense aid.
