Michigan football scored another big recruiting win in the 2025 class on Tuesday, landing the commitment of four-star wideout Andrew Marsh.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound wide receiver out of Katy, Texas has been expected to choose Michigan footabll for the better part of a month. The Wolverines have been the favorite since Marsh took an official visit near the end of June.

Washington made a late push according to EJ Holland of The Wolverine. The Huskies have more of a pass-happy offense, which could have appealed to Marsh. But Michigan football was able to win out in the end and landed the No. 63 overall recruit in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Here are three thoughts.

Michigan football has won some hotly contested recruitments in 2025. This wasn't that at the end and some of the bigger names dropped out, but it's still one of the biggest wins for Michigan football in the 2025 class.

Marsh might not have the top-end speed that rivals some of the five-star prospects you see at wide receiver, but I don't see that as being a big issue. He's got good size and is tremendous after the catch.

He's kind of the perfect wide receiver for Michigan. He's physical and isn't shy when it comes to blocking but he can make contested catches and also create explosive plays. Marsh isn't a physical freak but he's a really good football player and he'll fit in just fine in Ann Arbor.

Michigan also hasn't landed a top-100 receiver in a few years, which makes this recruiting win even more significant.
