RESIDENTS are again being warned that flooding is possible in Warrington.
A new amber flood alert has been issued for the River Mersey estuary in the town for the early hours of tomorrow morning, Friday.
The Environment Agency says that flooding is possible at around 3am, with residents in the alert area told to 'be prepared'.
It is the latest in a series of alerts issued over recent days due to a period of high tide on the river.

It encompasses areas of Woolston Eyes, The Twiggeries, Howley, Westy, Victoria Park, Latchford, Centre Park, Sankey Bridges, and Penketh.
The flood alert states: "This flood alert has been issued due to the high tide forecast for the early hours of tomorrow, Friday.
"Flooding is possible at low-lying lands and roads from 3am on Friday.
"It is possible that river levels may affect Arpley Road under the railway bridge.
"We currently anticipate the flood alert level not to be met during the next high tide at around midday on Friday.
"Our incident rooms are on standby, and we are closely monitoring the situation.
"Avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near watercourses, and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water."
