During the past hunting season, hunters in Czechia shot the highest number of roe deer and fallow deer ever, and the second highest number of red deer and mouflon after last year. Data on catches have been available since 1950. On the other hand, wild boar culling fell by a quarter, and there was also a decline in the number of hares caught. Pheasant and wild duck catches were similar to the previous year, as reported by the Czech Statistical Office.
