OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) - The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office said they have charged a Fort Walton Beach man with negligent homicide in the 2023 death of a 17-month old toddler.

Charles Little, 24, had taken the toddler, who had no pulse and was unresponsive, to a hospital on June 7, 2023, according to deputies.

Officials said the boy died three days later with the cause being complications of multiple blunt force injuries.

The child had multiple injuries to his head, neck, brain, vertebral column and torso, according to officials.

OCSO said their investigation determined the injuries occurred while Little, who is not the boys biological father, was babysitting.
