In a story that can only be described as "say that again?!" a story about an alleged fight involving two of music's biggest stars -- namely Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur -- is starting to take over social media timelines.
This is due in large part to a recent interview on the "Geddy Radio Show" by music exec and rapper Wack 100 who recently shared his feelings about Shakur and alleged that King of Pop "whooped his ass" back in the day. The reason? Some alleged disrespectful comments the "Keep Ya Head Up" rapper made about legendary producer -- and Jackson's close collaborator -- Quincy Jones' daughter Kidada while in the Jackson's presence. For context, Kidada and Shakur famously dated in 1996 but were only together for four months before the rapper was shot and killed.
"The man spoke on it, he witnessed it," Wack said. "Google it, it's a whole interview. He said that that nigga [Shakur] was disrespecting Quincy Jones' daughter. Mike said, 'I watched that girl grow up' and flighted him. Whooped him. You think I'm capping?""
Additional details about the alleged altercation as put forth by WiLD 94.1 over the weekend also describe the situation going down after Jackson allegedly confronted Shakur about his language towards Kidada. In return, Shakur popped off verbally at Jackson and the "Thriller" singer wound up inciting a fist fight -- and ultimately prevailing.
"Michael got the best of Pac," the WiLD 94.1 radio host said. "They say it's because, I mean 'a,' Michael's from Gary [Indiana]. Which Gary has been known to raise some folks who could throw hands. But also he was raised in a family with a lot of abuse."
The host continued by saying it's because of the abuse Jackson suffered, that he learned how to put up a good fight and ultimately won out against the rapper: "He was the youngest brother so he had to learn how to fight with his brothers but also had to learn how to take a punch 'cause he was Joe Jackson's baby. So, you know...apparently he won the fight."
We don't know who needs to hear this but if whoever has footage of this alleged altercation -- release it. EXPEDITIOUSLY. You know, for science and research purposes.
