There's no question in my mind that Skyler should be the backup and the reason is his decision making. White holds on to the ball too long for my tastes. In fairness to White he has played with players who most likely won't be on the 53 man roster. Nevertheless the backward pass he threw in the 4th quarter that resulted in a loss of 8 yards was bad. Other times he held on to the ball too long which meant he took sacks instead of throwing the ball away. His best throw was the beauty he threw to Ezunkama down the sideline.

In the 2 games that Skylar played he's clearly the better athlete and he throws a beautiful ball. The misses he has are primarily due to timing. He didn't just focus on one receiver and I believe that in a regular season game if he has to play (ie a blowout) that he can run for first downs too.While his stats aren't impressive, he seems to me to have a good command of the offense. If Berrios was able to make that catch in the end zone off the deflection his QB rating would be better.
