HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) - Connecticut was not ranked among the best states to live, according to a report.
The personal finance website WalletHub.com on Monday unveiled its list of the Best States to Live In for 2024.
Out of the 50 states, it put Connecticut at 22nd.
WalletHub said it looked at 51 indicators of "livability," which included housing costs, income growth, education rate, and quality of hospitals.
Here's how those metrics ranked for Connecticut, which ultimately led to the state's overall rank:
"When deciding on a place to move, you should first consider financial factors like the cost of living, housing prices and job availability," said Cassandra Happe, WalletHub analyst. "Many states have strong economies, though, so you should also consider a wide variety of other factors, such as how where you live will impact your health and safety, and whether you will have adequate access to activities that you enjoy. If you have children, a robust education system is also key."
The top three states were Massachusetts, Florida, and New Jersey.
The bottom three states were Arkansas, New Mexico, and Louisiana.
