We recently had a chance to go hands-on with the brand new QuietComfort Ultra Bluetooth Earbuds (2nd Gen) and loved very second of it. They debuted with three color options at $299, but a new Desert Gold - Limited Edition treatment seems to have just leaked on Amazon at $279 shipped.

The new Desert Gold Limited Edition buds are also landing alongside a similar golden treatment on the latest 2025 QuietComfort Ultra Bluetooth Headphones (2nd Gen) but there are no deals there just yet.

Over on Amazon you'll find the new Desert Gold - Limited Edition QuietComfort Ultra Bluetooth Earbuds (2nd Gen) on sale for $279 shipped.

While we can't say for sure what's going on here with the price - we are still awaiting official word from Bose and will update this post when we hear back, the rest of the colors in the lineup carry a $299 list price. So one can only assume Bose wouldn't release the special edition set with a lower MSRP. That said, we are tracking a deal on the new black set at the same $279 shipped right now.

As far as we can tell, these new Desert Gold models are otherwise identical to the new 2nd Gen QuietComfort Ultra buds and headphones Bose released this year. It's certainly not uncommon for the brand to unleash all-new colors throughout the lifecycle of its flagship buds and headphones, and frankly, just about everything it sells.

The new Desert Gold models were spotted on international Bose storefronts previous to today, but this appears to be the first time they have surfaced in the U.S.
