Former Gate City High School star Sarah Thompson scored 19 points as King University rallied for a 54-49 Conference Carolinas women's basketball win at Converse on Tuesday.

King (6-8, 4-3) closed the game on a 24-6 run.

Mikhail Pocknett had 28 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals as King University earned a Conference Carolinas road win.

King (6-9, 4-3) dominated the second half in erasing a seven-point halftime deficit.
