Another of American author Harlan Coben's books has been adapted and will air on Netflix in the new year.

Missing You is a mystery-thriller and there's not long to wait to see it.

Coben is also behind popular series' Fool Me Once, The Stranger, Stay Close and more.

Here's what we know about the new Netflix series, including the cast and how you can watch it.

In a summary of the series, Netflix shared: "Eleven years ago, Detective Kat Donovan's fiancé, Josh -- the love of her life -- disappeared, and she hasn't heard from him since.

"Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she sees his face, and her world explodes all over again.

"Josh's reappearance forces her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father's murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past."

The book is set in New York City but the series was filmed in the UK.
