ALBANY -- Gov. Kathleen C. Hochul has announced her administration is making a $50 million investment to help New York's county governments build up the infrastructure needed to grow housing stock or boost tourism activity upstate.
Announced on Friday, Hochul's County Infrastructure Grant Program will focus on funding small-to-medium sized projects undertaken by upstate county governments to build out streets, utilities and prepare land for construction of small- to medium-sized housing developments, projects that encourage tourism or what Empire State Development calls "placemaking."
