A video of Joe Alwyn's red carpet interview with Amelia Dimoldenberg at the GQ Men of the Year Awards has received more than 1.5 million views on TikTok
The viral clip shows Dimoldenberg singing "Hello Joe" and immediately apologizing for greeting him in song as he approaches her for the interview, as Alwyn admits, "I liked it."
The two then bonded over their favorite pieces of London architecture when Dimoldenberg asked Alwyn for his favorite in the city. "Maybe the Barbican. What about you?" Alwyn said, referencing London's Barbican Centre for performing arts.
"Classic. I was going to say the Barbican too. God, we're so similar," Dimoldenberg said. "Kindred spirits," Alwyn responded.

Dimoldenberg is known for her flirtatious interview style on the red carpet and on Chicken Shop Date, a celebrity interview series that she frames as a date. During their interview, she also asked Alwyn, who split from Taylor Swift in early 2023 after dating for six years and generally private when it comes to media appearances, whether he is "a party person or a party pooper."
"Well, you hope a party person. Depends on the party," Alwyn admitted, to which Dimoldenberg added, "Actually, that would be strange if someone said they were a party pooper."
"No, not yet," she said, when Alwyn asked if anyone has told her that. "It's a long night, though," Alwyn remarked.
"It's a long line and we hope, we pray, that someone is a party pooper. You need a balance in life, don't you?" she joked, with Alwyn agreeing, "You need a balance."

Alwyn is not the first actor Dimoldenberg has demonstrated some chemistry with on the red carpet. She recently hosted Andrew Garfield on her series in October to discuss his movie We Live in Time, wrapping up two years of banter between the pair after they first met at GQ's Men of the Year Awards in November 2022.
