Newton, MA Chapman Construction has hired Aaron Shwom as its first-ever director of preconstruction. Shwom comes to Chapman after holding similar roles with Consigli Construction Co., Inc. and John Moriarty & Associates.

With Shwom, Chapman now has a dedicated preconstruction expert who can provide strategic oversight to the project management teams, creating consistency from concept to completion.

Shwom is also uniquely able to apply his background to the business development pipeline which helps both Chapman's leadership and its clients rough out projects while in the conceptual stages to determine the best path to success. This approach creates value for prospective clients by determining if the proposed budget is feasible for the desired scope before going too far down the project development path. If Chapman can help building owners navigate potential pitfalls in the early stages of a planned project, it saves the client time and money due to a reduction in potential cost overruns and greater schedule consistency.
