The company said repairs to the track were finished early Sunday, and a dangerous goods team "safely completed the repositioning of the involved propane tanker cars to allow for safe off-loading in the coming days." Cleanup was continuing Sunday afternoon.

CPKC said one of the propane cars leaked some product on Saturday. There were no injuries.

A team of investigators from the TSB has been sent to the site to gather information and assess the derailment.

The TSB is an independent agency that looks into air, marine, pipeline and rail transportation incidents to make recommendations to improve transportation safety. It does not assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
