Oasis' keyboard player pulls back curtain on reunion tour

Christian Madden, the keyboard player who joined Oasis on their Live '25 tour this year, has opened up about the experience and answered several burning questions.

Writing on Substack, Madden looked back at the record-breaking year, which saw Oasis play 41 shows across the globe, from Cardiff to Sâo Paulo.

The musician opens his post humbly, doubting that he might have anything interesting to add to the widely-publicised narrative, writing, "Do I have anything to add? Only my humble perspective as the least famous person in the most famous band."

Later, the keyboard player writes about the intimacy and camaraderie of touring together, writing, "You notice if they make a mistake and your eyes linger on them to see if they're okay, if they've mentally recovered. Maybe you smile to let them know it doesn't matter."

He writes of the "amazing run of extracurricular activities we enjoyed" throughout his time touring, as well as the "endless parade of five-star hotels and world-class catering" that made it different from the usual tour-bus-and-sandwiches experience of gigging.

Turning to the brothers at the heart of the operation, he then wrote, "I'll get asked questions too, some I might answer. Did they really get on? Yes they did, it wasn't over the top like, it was people being genuinely warm after forgiving each other and starting to tentatively move forward. What you saw was real."

He rattled off another hypothetical question: "Which was the best show, which city had the best crowd? They were all brilliant, everyone was amazing etc. Every South American gig was amazing. But it was Buenos Aries, night two. That crowd had to wait an hour due to safety checks too, they really went off when their time came."

He finished with the one at the front of everyone's mind: "Are there more gigs coming in 2026 or the future more broadly? I'll get asked that a lot. Do you honestly think I know though? I'm a worker ant when all's said and done."

In a move just as cryptic, Oasis celebrated the end of the tour by issuing the following statement: "From Gallagher Hill to the River Plate, from Croke Park on the banks of the Royal Canal to the City Of Angels, the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten. There will now be a pause for a period of reflection."
