US President Donald Trump has once again taken aim at late-night television hosts, this time targeting NBC's Seth Meyers. The attack came after Meyers mocked Trump's recent speech to US Navy personnel stationed near Japan on his show Late Night with SethMeyers. In a post on Truth Social, Trump called Meyers "the least talented person to perform live in the history of television," adding, "In fact, he may be the WORST to perform, live or otherwise."

In his post, Trump also criticized Meyers's comments about "electric catapults" on aircraft carriers. He wrote, "In it he talked endlessly about electric catapults on aircraft carriers, which I complain about as not being as good as much less expensive steam catapults." "On and on he went, a truly deranged lunatic," Trump added. The president also questioned why NBC was wasting its time and money on someone like Meyers, who he claimed had no talent or ratings.
