Cameron Diaz was in Santa Barbara, California, with her son, Cardinal, marking the first time that the child has been seen since he was born in March 2024.

According to photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Diaz, 52, wore casual attire, including an oversized button-down top, a pair of baggy pants, and a black hat. She carried Cardinal on her hip as she walked over to her parked car.

The baby's face was blurred out, but his beach blonde hair could be seen.

Diaz and her husband, Benji Madden, announced the birth of their son on March 22, 2024.

"We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Madden," Madden captioned a joint Instagram post at the time. "He is awesome and we are all so happy he is here! For the kids safety and privacy we won't be posting any pictures- but he's a really cute. We are feeling so blessed and grateful. Sending much love from our fam to yours. Best wishes and Good Afternoon!!"

"I love being a mother. It's the best, best, best part of my life," Diaz shared, according to Good Morning America. "I'm so grateful and so happy, and it's the best thing ever, and I'm so lucky to do it with Benj and we're having the best time. I'm thrilled."

Smack in the middle of a global pandemic, Diaz said that she was really enjoying being at home with her little family.

"I'm either cooking, cleaning or taking care of my baby ... and usually all at the same time," she said.
