NVIDIA AI Day Sydney, held on October 15-16, 2025, at the ICC Sydney Theatre, brought together over 1,000 attendees, including industry leaders, developers, and startups, to explore the burgeoning field of artificial intelligence (AI) and its implications for various sectors. The event highlighted the significant role of next-generation computing in driving AI advancements, according to NVIDIA's official blog.

Brendan Hopper, Chief Information Officer for Technology at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, emphasized the impact of NVIDIA's support in building Australia's AI infrastructure and fostering innovation. Hopper noted the privilege of participating in the event, which featured 16 breakout sessions covering sovereign AI, agentic and physical AI, robotics, and AI factories.

The event underscored AI's transformative potential across industries, including financial services, retail, and the public sector. Giuseppe M. J. Barca, cofounder and head of research at QDX Technologies, highlighted how AI, powered by quantum and high-performance computing, is accelerating the pace and precision of scientific discovery in Australia.

Industry leaders like Canva and Commonwealth Bank of Australia, along with NVIDIA Inception startups and ecosystem partners, engaged in discussions about AI's role in shaping Australia's future. Canva, a prominent Australian tech company, showcased its use of NVIDIA technologies to enhance generative AI solutions for its vast user base.

Dragan Dimitrovici, founder and CEO of XENON Systems, praised the event as the best technology gathering he had attended in Australia. The event facilitated collaboration among NVIDIA executives, industry leaders, and startups, positioning Australia as a potential AI powerhouse.

NVIDIA's Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand Enterprise, Sudarshan Ramachandran, emphasized the convergence of Australia's expertise in high-performance computing and emerging industries like quantum and robotics. He highlighted the importance of collaboration and innovation partnerships in establishing Australia as a global leader in AI.

The event also featured the inaugural "Australia Startup, VC and Partner Connect" session, promoting cross-sector collaboration and showcasing Australian AI talent. Notable participants included quantum computing companies and startups utilizing NVIDIA's platforms to advance their AI applications.
