The New York Giants had a rough day versus the Philadelphia Eagles, as the team trailed for most of the game and also lost one of their key players, rookie running back Cam Skattebo, to a dislocated ankle.

On top of all that, the officiating wasn't on New York's side on Sunday, and that was on full display in the fourth quarter.

During the final period, Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart found wide receiver Darius Slayton for a deep pass that would've cut the Eagles' lead down to two scores. However, the officials called a questionable offensive pass interference penalty on Slayton, and it led to head coach Brian Daboll absolutely losing it on the sideline.

Here is the apparent penalty by Slayton on the touchdown that was called back:

New York would go on to fall to Philadelphia by a score of 38-20. The Giants are now 2-6 on the year and 0-5 on the road.

Though Slayton's touchdown likely wouldn't have changed the result, it was still an egregious call that took six points off the board for New York. Daboll's reaction to the penalty is also justified, as the fourth-year head coach is fighting for his job and the margin for error is incredibly slim.

The Giants will head back to MetLife Stadium next Sunday to square off against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9. We'll see if New York can bounce back.
