"Heading into Week 8 of the NFL season, my favorite buy-low trade candidate is Commanders' running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt. "Bill" is a versatile back who's been the lead back in a make-shift three-back committee since the injury to Austin Ekeler and trade of Brian Robinson Jr. He has flashes of explosive vision and receiving chops give him immense upside, as we've seen in Week 5 when he exploded for 111 rushing yards and two touchdowns against the Los Angeles Chargers. His ability to break big runs and catch passes out of the backfield makes him a perfect RB2 target with RB1 upside as the Commanders' offense gets healthier and improves its upside. The past two games have tanked his value, turning him into a bargain for patient owners eyeing a workload surge. For him, I'd willingly give up a mid-tier wide receiver like Tee Higgins, who, despite surging in Week 7 with new quarterback Joe Flacco, is a constant injury risk and is as inconsistent as receivers get. Grab him now, as the hype has faded and the storm has calmed before it explodes in the second half of the year."

"Ashton Jeanty totaled only seven opportunities (six rushes, one catch) in Week 7's blowout loss to the Chiefs - a sharp drop from the 21.67 he was averaging in his previous three games. The struggling Raiders offense has been missing Brock Bowers and also played this week without Jakobi Meyers, both of whom should return following the team's bye. We should expect Jeanty's workload to be among the league leaders for the remainder of the season - he is currently 10th in PlayerProfiler's Opportunity Share metric. Jeanty himself has performed well, ranking 11th in Juke Rate and 7th in Yards Created. If you can trade a TD-dependent RB, such as Kyren Williams, for Jeanty, I would be all over it."

"I'm all about going after Brashard Smith this week. I get a lot of his production came in garbage time last week, but this Kansas City offense is now at full strength with a healthy Rashee Rice and there will be plenty more garbage-time opportunities to come. There is also the potential that Smith grows into the former Jerick-McKinnon receiving-back role and continues to see the four targets per game he's earned over the past month. He's a buy-low right now because his production and opportunity could skyrocket with injury, an escalation in usage, and a decent schedule ahead. Plus, the bye week is on its way in Week 10, for a potential rookie bump. I'd send a WR like Darnell Mooney, Marvin Mims, or even Stefon Diggs, assuming I'm stacked at the position, to land Smith."

"My favorite sell-high candidate going into NFL Week 8 is Bears running back D'Andre Swift. Swift's value has been the beneficiary of recent boom games, aided by explosive runs and goal-line touches, but over the length of his career, he has never stood up to a heavy workload and has been best served as the receiving back in a running back committee. At some point, his explosive runs will begin to fade, and his value will plummet once the inevitable injury pops up, making this a perfect opportunity to flip him for a consistent producer like Steelers wide receiver D.K. Metcalf, whose veteran quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, peppers his WR1 every week. It's time to cash out high on Swift while you can."

"My favorite sell-high candidate is D'Andre Swift. I was and have been a big fan of his this season, but after two weeks in a row with over 100 rushing yards, he's due for some regression. Add in that he has been used in the passing game less since the bye week, and I think now is the perfect time to sell him. I think you could probably turn him around for a low RB2 and a fringe WR2/3 if you need depth."

"On the back of two efficient performances, D'Andre Swift is currently the RB11 in PPR points per game - quickly becoming a highly valued fantasy asset. However, Kyle Monangai quietly got more involved in Week 7 (totaling 94 yards on 16 opportunities). While Monangai is unlikely to be fantasy-relevant himself, he could carve out a role large enough to hurt Swift's appeal. Swift's next two matchups (@BAL, @CIN) are advantageous ones, so you could choose to ride Swift out for a week or two more, but he's someone I'd be looking to move in the near future. Swift should probably be valued as a mid-range RB2, if you can manage to get more for him I'd cash in."

"D'Andre Swift has been nothing but sensational in the revamped Bears offense and improved offensive line. Now that we are past the Bears' bye week, look for Ben Johnson to get rookie Kyle Monangai more involved. Before the Week 5 bye, Monangai only had a 27.8% snap share, but that has climbed to 38.9% since. Over the course of the season, he has averaged 4.6 yards per carry and 2.2 yards after contact per attempt, which is better than Swift's 1.89. I would send Swift away for a three-down back like Quinshon Judkins, or add another player along with Swift to upgrade to an RB1 like Kyren Williams."

"Rhamondre Stevenson had an outstanding Week 7 performance, finishing as a top-15 running back, totaling 18 rushing attempts for 88 yards, a touchdown, and 16.8 PPR fantasy points, setting season-highs in yards and attempts. However, he faced a Tennessee Titans defense that had surrendered 114 rushing yards and 28 fantasy points per game to running backs over the first six weeks, the fourth-most in the NFL. More importantly, Stevenson has been wildly inconsistent, scoring 14.6 or more fantasy points in three games. By comparison, he has averaged only 4.1 fantasy points per game in the other four contests, scoring 5.1 or less in every outing. Unfortunately, the veteran faces an elite Cleveland Browns defense in Week 8, making him a risky flex play, even with six teams on a bye. I would happily trade away Stevenson to land Breece Hall or even Jacory Croskey-Merritt."

"It's time for some tough love: Rhamondre Stevenson is a great trade asset, but he's not a keeper. Yes, his role is secure, and he'll give you a reliable floor as an RB2/Flex thanks to his high snap share, but you deserve better. The issue is his brutal 3.6 Yards Per Carry, which is proof that his upside is capped by inefficiency. His big Week 7 stat line is a classic "sell-high" spike after a season high in carries and rushing yards. Cash in now and acquire an RB with a much superior ceiling for your championship run."
