Details of the 911 call about Diane Keaton's death have been revealed..

The phone call was made from the Oscar-winning actress' residence - Keaton recently died aged 79 on 11 October. The actress was rushed from her Los Angeles home by ambulance on Saturday, October 11 and was later pronounced dead following a phone call for help.

During the call, it has been revealed that authorities were told there was a "person down".

Diane's cause of death remains undisclosed but reports suggest that Diane's health had taken a sudden downturn in recent weeks. "She declined very suddenly, which was heartbreaking for everyone who loved her," a friend told People.

"It was so unexpected, especially for someone with such strength and spirit. In her final months, she was surrounded only by her closest family, who chose to keep things very private."

Her iconic headwear wasn't just a style choice, Diane was deadly serious about sun protection following a skin cancer diagnosis at just 21: "It's a family history, I remember my Auntie Martha had skin cancer so bad they removed her nose," she told Los Angeles Times in 2015.

"My father had basal skin cancer and my brother had it. It's tricky with this skin cancer. That's why you've got to put the sunblock on. Back in my 20s I didn't pay attention much. I didn't research and didn't really care and that was stupid because it's dogged me my entire adult life, even recently," reports the Express.

Diane admitted that she didn't "start sun care until her 40s".

Following her initial bout with basal cell carcinoma in her twenties, Diane faced squamous cell cancer years later which required two operations for removal, the Times reported. During a 2017 chat, Diane also opened up about her battle with bulimia early in her career, triggered after a show's director told her she needed to shed pounds.
