Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa sadly passed away in their home in New Mexico.
Their dog was also found deceased, but police shared that no foul play is suspected at this time. He was 95 and she was 63.

His daughter Elizabeth Jean Hackman told TMZ they believe that carbon monoxide poisoning could be at play, which is a toxic fume.
The CDC shares that carbon monoxide is an "odorless, colorless gas that can cause sudden illness and death if inhaled....The most common symptoms of CO poisoning are headache, dizziness, weakness, upset stomach, vomiting, chest pain, and confusion. CO symptoms are often described as 'flu-like.'"
