MPD arrests fugitive wanted for 2022 armed robbery in Cordova

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department's Fugitive Unit has apprehended a man wanted for a robbery that took place more than three years ago.

MPD says 27-year-old Logan Biggs was arrested Wednesday on an outstanding warrant for aggravated robbery. The warrant was issued on March 1, 2022, the same day as the alleged crime.

According to the police report, the victim met with Biggs and Biggs' little brother, who police say was a juvenile at the time, to sell them two Palm Angel shirts and a pair of Amiri shoes behind an AT&T store on Cordova Center Drive.

MPD says the victim had sold items to Biggs before.

The victim told officers that both suspects got into his car and all three discussed apparel when the brothers suddenly put guns to his head and demanded his keys, shoes, and the items he was selling.

Police say the duo seized their loot and took off in an unknown direction. Warrants were issued for both the same day.

MPD reports that Biggs was one of the department's "most-wanted fugitives."

"Thanks to the tireless work and determination of our Fugitive Unit, a dangerous criminal is now off our streets," MPD said in a statement.

Shelby County Court records show that Biggs has a history of prior arrests for charges including drug possession, distribution of a controlled substance, unlawful weapon possession, evading arrest, reckless driving, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
