I'm frustrated with Meta. My assumption is that Meta launched Vibes because they knew OpenAI was about to release the Sora app, so they rushed to partner with Midjourney, etc. and pushed out what they thought would look similar, to beat OpenAI to the punch. But in doing so, they missed the most important piece. Yes, Meta's AI models are behind, but the real miss was the SOCIAL LAYER: people might enjoy AI slop if they can laugh about it, remix it, and experience it together with friends!!
