Suspect arrested in Bay County for Tallahassee bank robbery, LCSO says

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office has arrested a suspect in connection with a Tallahassee bank robbery that led Chiles High School to be under closed campus protocol.

Daniel Vincent, 44, of Illinois, was arrested in Bay County.

It was previously reported that no money was taken, but an LCSO spokesperson said Friday that Vincent stole $1,155 from the teller.

According to a Friday press release from LCSO, the investigation led LCSO to believe Vincent was traveling to Bay County.

When Vincent was arrested by BCSO, he had around $1,000 on him, per an LCSO spokesperson.

He was booked into Bay County Jail for robbery and is expected to be taken to Leon County to face charges, according to the LCSO press release.

According to LCSO, on Wednesday at about 1:30 p.m., Vincent entered Centennial Bank and demanded cash. Vincent claimed he had a gun, but no evidence confirmed this, per LCSO.

Chiles High School was put under closed campus protocol for about 20 minutes during the incident.
