The start of the New England Patriots' regular season is just a few days away.

The Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals will kickoff their respective regular seasons with a Week 1 matchup on Sept. 8, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Paycor Stadium.

This opener features two AFC teams doing battle during footballs' opening weekend. It's also a pair of sides that have two very different mindsets heading into the 2024 season.

In terms of the Patriots, they've decided to build toward a new future in 2024. At the top, this matchup could be the first-career start for rookie quarterback Drake Maye. It will certainly be the first time Jerod Mayo, not Bill Belichick, will be calling the shots on the sideline.

On the flip side, the Bengals have their heading set. It's really all about the return of quarterback Joe Burrow. Is he still the same QB post-injury?
