ADA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) -- An 80-year-old man died in a single-car crash in Ada Township, deputies say.

The Kent County Sheriff's Office believes the crash happened overnight or early in the morning Saturday.

The man and his vehicle were located by a Kent County parks employee in a ditch off of Pettis Avenue NE, near Dogwood Avenue NE at around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, the sheriff's office said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Speed is believed to be a factor, KCSO said.
