Going into the 2025 football season, Nittany Lions Wire will examine each player listed on the Penn State roster. Over the preseason, each profile will cover the player's background, how recruiting websites rated them coming out of high school, and what role they will play for James Franklin this season.
Though he played tight end in the high school ranks, freshman Brady O'Hara has converted to an offensive lineman at Penn State, an interesting transition which highlights his physicality and blocking ability. Entering his first season as a Nittany Lion, O'Hara will have to add mass and learn quickly under offensive line coach Phil Trautwein, whose body of work through five seasons has been impressive.
O'Hara was pursued by in-state powers Penn State and Pitt, as well as Wisconsin, West Virginia and UConn.
Learning a new position in one offseason is no easy task, and there will likely be a learning curve for O'Hara as he develops new skills and puts on pounds. Given both the depth in the room and growing pains of a position switch, it's unlikely O'Hara sees much playing time in 2025.
