Does Jennifer Coolidge wish she was on this season of The White Lotus, and is she watching the adventures in Thailand unfold? "Yes, I am, and I'm envious as hell," the actress admitted in a new interview with Forbes. The iconic actress -- who won an Emmy Award for her portrayal of Tanya McQuoid -- may have died at the end of season two, but that doesn't mean she stopped being invested in the universe that showrunner and creator Mike White has brought to life.
And, yes, she (like the rest of us) is hoping that something terrible happens to her now-ex-husband, Greg (played by actor Jon Gries). Because -- and major spoilers ahead, if you aren't caught up on the series -- well, it seems like if someone else doesn't take him out first, he may end up taking out our beloved Belinda (played by Natasha Rothwell) in order to keep his connection to Tanya's death a secret that won't catch up to him.

Jennifer Coolidge Hopes Greg "Gets It" In Season 3 Of 'The White Lotus' Close
Tanya, the endearing-yet-maddeningly oblivious rich heiress we met in the first season of the series, has been a fan favorite since she first appeared on our screens in Hawaii. While speaking with the Forbes reporter, she did not shy away from admitting that she is not only as obsessed with the series as we are, she sort of wishes she were still on the show, too.
"Look, it's not like I haven't wished or whatever, but it isn't happening," the actress admitted, before adding that "it doesn't matter -- they don't need me. Mike White can tell a story better than anybody. I mean, in the first episode [of season three], I felt like, 'Oh, this is going to be really good!' I just felt like everything he set up -- it's really eerie -- you're not quite sure what people are up to yet." But we'd also be remiss if we didn't admit that it would be glorious to see Tanya and Belinda get their revenge and create the wellness spa of their dreams.
At the time we are writing this, only two episodes of the new installment have aired, but it's already quite clear that few people -- if anyone -- are going to get a happy ending this year. It is undoubtedly a far darker season than the previous iterations. (Not just because of the new theme song, either.) And with any luck, that darkness will come in the form of Greg facing some consequences for his bad behavior.
Thankfully, Coolidge has some ideas on that front:
"My guess? Something's going to go horribly wrong. I think it's really going to go wrong. Mike White, he wants us to have it all, I think. I can't wait. As you know, [actor] Jon Gries has shown up [again as Tanya's former husband, Greg]. I hope he gets it! I hope they do something terrible to him."
Here's hoping she's right! If we need anything right now, it's more rich losers getting what they deserve, you know?
