Srinagar, Sep 23: the Chief Education Officer of Srinagar, Mr. Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Bhat, along with Ms. Anjum Raja, DEPO, conducted a series of school visits across the district to ensure timely syllabus completion and effective preparation for upcoming examinations.
The CEO began with a visit to Government Girls Higher Secondary School Chanapora, where he engaged with students to assess their syllabus progress and learning levels.
In discussions with teachers, the CEO emphasized the importance of completing the syllabus on time and preparing students for exams without causing stress. He encouraged a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere. He appreciated the learning level of students.
Accompanied by the DEPO and the Principal of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Chanapora, the CEO also visited Middle School Chanapora. He interacted with students and instructed all Cluster Heads to regularly monitor schools, ensuring both academic and co-curricular activities are on track.
The CEO then proceeded to Higher Secondary School G.G Mohalla in the old city. CEO Srinagar highlighted the need to connect with the local community to boost enrollment and create a positive school environment. He urged the school staff to work closely with residents to promote education in the area.
At Higher Secondary School Tailbal, the CEO received an enthusiastic response from students during his interaction. He directed the Principal to prioritize discussions with local School Management and Development Committee members to secure approval for using identified land for constructing a new school building. Mr. Bhat instructed that all necessary land-related documents be submitted to his office within two days for further action.
Addressing the upcoming examinations, Mr. Bhat stressed the importance of counseling students to help them prepare confidently and without stress. He also directed Heads of Institutions to organize special remedial classes for students who need extra support to meet expected learning outcomes.
The CEO, Srinagar also attended the Capacity building program organised for the teaching faculty of GGHSS Kothibagh and Middle School Kothibagh. He emphasised on upscaling of Teachers for their relevance in the present scenario.
