2 Montanans to compete at X Games Aspen 2025

Iris Pham and Konnor Ralph are scheduled to compete at X Games Aspen this weekend in Colorado.

Pham, a snowboarder from Bozeman, will compete for the second year in the women's Snowboard Street Style event as one of eight competitors on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 2:30 p.m.

The event made its debut as an exhibition in 2024 and is returning to the program as a medal event in 2025. Athletes compete on a rail and urban feature inspired course with tricks and runs being judged on overall impression.

Pham will compete in the first of two four-athlete heats. Each heat lasts 10 minutes and the top two scorers from each heat will advance to the final when scores reset. Highest overall impression score wins.

Ralph, a freestyle skier from Helena, will compete in men's Ski Slopestyle Friday, Jan. 24 at 12:45 p.m. He was an alternate who attended, but didn't compete at the event in 2024.

He is one of 10 skiers who will get two runs on the course featuring rails and jumps. The top five scores after those initial two runs advance to the final where the scores reset. Finalists get two more runs and the best single score wins.

Ralph is in his third year on the U.S. Freeski Team and was third at the Tignes World Cup men's slopestyle last March.
