BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 12. President Sadyr Zhaparov has appointed Akylbek Kylychev as the new ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Iran, Trend reports via the Kyrgyz president's office.
According to the decree, Kylychev will also serve as the Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Tehran. The appointment was made in accordance with the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, in particular with Articles 70 and 71.
Previously, Kylychev served as Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. He has worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1996 and served as an advisor at the Kyrgyz Embassy and as Chargé d'Affaires in Iran.
