The AARP is once again offering free help in filing out tax forms at various times and locations throughout the Lehigh Valley. Most sites will operate by appointment only, no walk-ins, while some sites will accept walk-ins. Details regarding appointments and walk-ins will be listed for each site.

Tax return preparation will begin in early February, ending before April 15. Specific dates and times are listed for each open site. Do not call the sites unless a phone number is noted below. For information on a Tax-Aide site near you, you can also call 1-888-AARPNOW (1-888-227-7669).

ALLENTOWN

Details on how/when to make appointments for TY 2024 tax documents are listed for each specific open site.

St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1933 Hanover Ave., 12:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesdays by appointment only. On Feb. 4 doors will open at 12:30 p.m. for setting up appointments. Tax preparation will also begin on Feb. 4 and continue through April 8. Walk-in to set up appointments will continue during normal operation hours only. Call 484-602-5278 for information.

Calvary Moravian Church, 948 N. 21 St. Taxpayers must call 484-891-0971 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday to make appointments for Fridays, Feb. 7 through April. 11. Call 484-891-0971 anytime for information. Do not call the church. No walk-ins accepted.

Lehigh Valley Active Life, 1633 W. Elm St. To make an appointment call 610-437-3700 after 9 a.m. on Jan. 21. Taxes will be prepared on Saturdays only beginning Feb. 1 and ending April 12. Taxpayers are required to stop at LV Active Life to pick up and complete their tax instruction envelope before their appointment. No walk-ins accepted.

First Presbyterian Church, 3231 Tilghman St. 8:30 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, Feb. 5 through April 9. Advance appointments are required and can be made in person on one day only, 9-11 a.m. Jan. 29 at the First Presbyterian Church. Those unable to sign up on Jan. 29 may call 484-820-1480 beginning Jan. 30 to schedule an appointment.

Calvary Baptist Church, 4601 Tilghman St. 8:30 AM to noon Thursdays starting Feb. 6. Appointments only, which can be made in advance at the church 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 30.

Slatington Vigilant Fire Co. Hall, E. Church and S. Walnut streets. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays starting Feb. 7. Appointments can be made 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 29 at thefirehouse. After Feb. 1, appointments can be made by visiting the site during normal hours or by calling 484-272-5129. Leave a message and someone will return your call.

Emmaus Moravian Church, Main and Keystone streets. 8:30 a.m. to noon Tuesdays starting Feb. 4. Appointment only, no walk-ins. Appointments can be made 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 28 at the church.

Lower Macungie Library, 3450 Brookside Road. 1-5 p.m. Thursdays Feb. 6 through April 10. Advance appointments required. Appointments can be made 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 30 at the library. Those unable to sign up on that day may call 484-232-8807 beginning Feb. 3 to schedule an appointment.

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., Allentown. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Wednesday starting Feb. 3. Appointments can be made 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 22 or 2-7 p.m. Jan. 27 at the library.
