After a drawn-out Game 3 battle, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts highlighted the performance of two players who were unexpectedly crucial to the team's win.

The Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays played a total of 18 innings on Monday in a series-swinging game that ended on a walk-off homer from Freddie Freeman.

Neither offense, though, could get going against the opposing team's bullpen. The Dodgers exhausted all their bullpen arms, using all their relievers, but it was their last two who stood out, given their roster spots.

Edgardo Henriquez and Will Klein both pitched a combined six shutout innings, though it was Klein who stole the show with his outing. He pitched four innings, getting five strikeouts and two walks, allowing just one hit, and throwing a shocking 72 pitches.

His performance got him the win, his first in postseason history, while also making his name on the national stage.

The righty had a career 5.16 ERA in the major leagues, pitching just 22.2 innings before the 2025 postseason started. With the Dodgers having no other pitchers in their reserve, they turned to Klein, who delivered one of the gutiest performances from a reliever in postseason history.

Manager Dave Roberts celebrated both Henriquez and Klein for their efforts, keeping the Dodgers in the game long enough for Freeman's heroics.

"Both those guys' performance for the ages, and, you know, Will went four innings tonight, filled up the strike zone, competed his tail off," Roberts said after the game.

"And in the postseason people talk about the superstars, but a lot of times it's these unsung heroes that you just can't expect, and guys, you know, come to pass and pop. Tonight was Will Klein's night, and obviously, what Edgardo did was just as paramount."
