MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - Two men are facing charges after a rollover crash on I-75 in Monroe County early Friday morning.
According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a Ford Mustang was driving behind a Nissan Frontier at a high rate of speed on I-75 South near mile marker 65 at around 12:06 a.m.
The report says the Ford tried to pass a commercial vehicle in the left lane and lost control, hitting the rear of the Nissan and causing it to overturn. It came to a stop on its side on the left side of the road.
The driver of the Nissan was injured in the crash. His condition is unknown.
The driver, Eddie Fox, and passenger, Barry Childs, Jr., in the Ford were not injured, but they are facing charges. Fox was charged with vehicular assault and driving on a revoked license, and Childs was charged with accessory after the fact.
Fox and Childs are being held at Monroe County Jail.
