Official: Real Madrid forward completes transfer to La Liga rivals

Real Madrid youngster Juanmi Latasa has left the club to join La Liga side Real Valladolid, the Merengues have officially confirmed.

"Real Madrid CF and Real Valladolid have reached an agreement for the transfer of our player Latasa," the statement from the club read.

"Real Madrid wishes him and his family the best of luck in this new stage of his life."

Latasa, 23, joined Real Madrid eight years ago in 2016 and rose through the academy ranks before becoming a part of the Castilla setup for two seasons.

The centre-forward even made his senior debut in 2022 but spent the last two seasons on loan at Getafe, given the lack of space in the attacking unit at Madrid.

Having returned to the club this summer, Latasa did the pre-season under Carlo Ancelotti and even featured during the pre-season tour of the USA.

However, an exit was always likely and as such, he has now signed for Real Valladolid, signing a five-year contract until 2029.

According to reports, Real Valladolid will be acquiring 50% of his rights until 2029, while the rest will remain with Real Madrid, pending a future sale by the club.
