Baby animals are the cutest, even when they are just tiny versions of the apex predators that they will grow up to be. And it is especially cute when they are big cats.
Just look at how precious leopard cubs love to pounce around. It is, without a doubt, total cuteness overload.
And the same is true of Mango, the precious lion cub, who is absolutely having a ball pouncing around her enclosure when she discovers that she has some brand-new stuffies to play with!

Notice how this stuffy bears a striking resemblance to Mango. That's because Mango's new stuffy is a lion stuffy! How cute is that!?
However, this precious lion cub did not realize that her first. She seemed to recognize the toy's shape as that of another lion cub and instantly wanted to play with it.
At first, she attempted to "sneak up" on it before eventually making her move, at which point her curiosity overtook her, and she was like, "Oh, what are these wonderful things?"
After sifting through a few balls and stuffed toys, she ended up settling on the stuffed lion that looked exactly like her!
Mango was instantly in love with her new stuffy as soon as she laid eyes on it, picking it up by the ear and dragging it off to go play with it somewhere else. Without a doubt, she was claiming her new toy as hers, LOL.
A little later on, Mango was a little tired from all this excitement and needed to take a break. So, she helped herself to some nice, crisp, clean, delicious water.
Without a doubt, Mango, the lion cub, was all tuckered out from a fun day of playing with her brand-new lion cub stuffy!

Recently, Mango also took her first little field trip to a new habitat. It is one of the first of many habitat field trips that she will take as she grows before she graduates to living in a big cat habitat full-time.
Unfortunately, Mango, being a three-month-old orphaned lion, cannot be released into the wild because she does not have any of the skills needed to survive in the wild after being born in captivity.
Her mother was born into captivity, too, and unfortunately died at a Canadian roadside zoo, according to this video.
But fortunately, Mango is now living at a big cat sanctuary where she is receiving all the support that she needs to blossom into a confident lioness one day. She will enjoy a quality life, free from humans at the private wildlife sanctuary that she now calls home.
