Bake Off viewers appalled by Channel 4 contestant's 'disgusting' habit

The Great British Bake Off were viewers left screaming at their screens by a contestant's 'disgusting' habit during the latest episode of the Channel 4 show.

Tuesday's instalment of GBBO, hosted by Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding, saw the remaining 10 stars bake their own signature dish, technical and showstopper as part of bread week.

The first challenge saw them bake monkey bread, followed by 12 glazed ring donuts and the final task was to create a sweet bread with three tiers.

While making their savory monkey bread, those watching at home couldn't help but take to social media to point out something that was bothering them.

Nadia, 41, from Liverpool, rocked a bright pink blouse and apron for filming, with her hair styled into a messy ponytail.

Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share that they had spotted her touching her hair and then proceeding to carry on baking her Italian monkey bread.

When judges Prue Leith, 85, Paul Hollywood, 59, and Alison, 50, headed over to chat to her about her dish, she explained that it consisted of cream, sundried tomatoes, olives and wild garlic.

Paul asked: 'You nicked that from a field?'

As she pushed her fringe away from her face, she simply replied: 'Yeah...'

'I really just wanna grab all of Nadia's hair and tie it up properly!! #GBBO.'

'Stop touching your hair NADIA and then touching the food - disgusting!!!'

'It really bugs me that these women are just letting their hair freely go over the food like that.'

Ahead of making her monkey bread, Alison told the bakers: 'Welcome back to the tent bakers, for bread week.

'For your first challenge, the judges would love you to bake a delicious, savoury monkey bread.'

She continued: 'The judges are looking for a well-flavoured, pull-apart loaf made with a yeasted-bread dough.'

At the end of the episode Pui Man was the latest contestant to leave the competition.

And many people took to social media to share their heartbreak over the departure.

One said on X: 'Bro I'm so annoyed about pui man.'

'THEY TOOK PUI MAN NOOOOOOOOOOO.'

'Gutted for Pui Man, I thought she redeemed herself, pleased for Jasmine getting star bake.'

'NOOO PUI MAN.'

'I'm a bit disappointed, but I haven't been doing well most of the time' best quote ever from Pui Man [laughing emoji]'.

Last week saw its second contestant leave the tent during an intense biscuit week on Tuesday.

During the episode the contestants took on three biscuit-based tasks including slice and bake biscuits for the signature challenge, chocolate hobnobs for the technical, and a biscuit showstopper.

Sadly, Leighton failed to impress, even with his piano-shaped biscuit creation and was sent home by the judges in an emotional exit.

But it wasn't all bad news as one baker received a coveted Paul Hollywood handshake, with Tom being crowned Star Baker.

Great British Bake Off airs Tuesdays on Channel 4 and is available to stream on channel4.com.
