WASHINGTON (TNND) -- President Donald Trump did not hold back his criticism of California Gov. Gavin Newsom, as he used what seems to be one of his favorite cuss words to express his disapproval: bullsh*t.
I know Gavin very well," Trump said during a news conference in the Oval office on Friday. "He's an incompetent guy with a good line of bullsh*t. And he doesn't get the job done."
Trump's comments come amid ongoing debates about crime in major U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., New York City, and Chicago.
It's not the first time Trump used that specific word when he was talking about Newsom. He said something similar when speaking with reporters on August 11.
He's got a good line of bullsh*t, but that's about it," Trump previously said. "He's incompetent.
Trump criticized Newsom -- or "Newscum" as he called the governor -- as well as Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, saying they should also "clean up" L.A. He added that they want to replace "beautiful" homes in in the area with low-income housing.
Can you believe this?" Trump said. "I love low-income housing. I made money with low-income housing. I built low-income housing. I know more about low-income housing than luxury housing. I know about everything real estate. They want to replace some of those homes with low-income housing. They haven't gotten their permits yet. We've gotten all the federal permits, which are much tougher to get. And it was done almost immediately through Lee Zeldin and federal environment."
The president said L.A. residents are "angry" about the state of the city and want to move out. He added that the city used to be beautiful and luxurious -- but he said it's no longer that way.
"They've lost their heart because the mayor's incompetent and Gavin 'Newscom' is incompetent," Trump said.
