There was talk early in the day that The Rock would ask for Cody Rhodes' answer in the middle of tonight's (Sat., Mar. 1, 2025) Elimination Chamber premium live event at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. There was a change, however, and it ended up going on last, just after John Cena won the men's Elimination Chamber match to book his ticket to face Rhodes for the WWE championship at WrestleMania 41.

It was noteworthy, then, that Cena was still in the ring when both Rhodes and The Final Boss made their way out to hash things out.

Rock asked for an answer.

Rhodes said he wants it all, and his soul no longer belongs to him. But do you know why? It's because he gave it to the ring and the people a long time ago.

"Hey Rock ... go fuck yourself!"

Cena laughed and seemed to be enjoying himself quite a bit. Rhodes waited for his boss to make a move. Cena then embraced Cody and gave Rock a look. Rock slashed his throat and Cena took a step back and delivered the low blow.

Holy shit, he finally turned heel!

He continued the beatdown, laying into Rhodes, using a microphone to put him down and then taking his championship title and putting him down with that too. That was enough to bust Cody open, all while The Final Boss and Travis Scott looked on.

Cena choked him with his own tie and everything!

Cena and Scott held Rhodes down so Rock could take the weight belt off and put it Cody's back. They left him a bloody mess in the ring to close the show.
